Knit in my Mother's Womb
When Beth-Renee was born, the pediatrician heard a small murmur. She said it was pretty inisent, but she wanted to cover all the bases. So she got an EKG and they confirmed that there is a small hole in her heart. Beth-Renee still got to go home with us from the hospital, but she was scheduled a follow up appointment with a specialist from Denver Children's. So yesterday was that appointment. The doctor came in, asked a few questions, listened to her heart and told us we have nothing to worry about! GOD IS SO GOOD! He drew out this diagram and explained to us that the hole in her heart is about the size of a hole an earring would go through. It's even the size of a pore. If you were to go in and try to surgically fix it you wouldn't be able to find it, and the suture itself would cause a larger hole than the hole itself. So, Beth-Renee will never need medication or surgery. The hole will fix itself. She will have another follow up appointment in a year so they can tell us that it is closed up. So our baby girl is still being knit together outside my womb by our wonderful creator! Praise God she will be alright!
Psalm 139:13-14 "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well."
